Read free. The Path of Action, by Jack Schwarz, 1977.
Excerpt
Do I ascribe to any one philosophy? Yes. It is the philosophy of eternal life to be lived by yourself, the realization that you yourself pave the road by which you reach this state of consciousness. All the philosophies of the world are merely signs to let you know of the many crossroads and side roads. But you create your path and set the pace by which you follow it. It’s an exhilarating feeling to know that no one will have to goad you. It is your inner self that you will answer to and follow. It is therefore vital to know this inner self so well that you will respond to its every desire. It is my conviction that meditation is the best way for me to get acquainted with this higher self. That does not mean it has to be the best way for everyone else. Everyone must find their own method for reaching within.
